Bonjour and Happy New Year!
We hope you had a well-deserved rest over the festive season and for those of you who joined us in our Enchanted Garden, thank you for the best night ever! (NYE Blog post coming soon).
As we always aim to please, we thought it would be a good idea to bring our delicious fresh bread and viennoiserie for our guests beyond Downtown. So, we now have our very own stand at Ripe Market which is reminiscent of a traditional French farmer’s market, every Friday at Zabeel Park.
During the early hours of the morning while you’re enjoying your weekend lie-in, our French bakers are preparing your bread and croissants which are so fresh, they arrive at Ripe market at 8am still warm from the oven. One of our morning favourites’ is our hugely popular Deauvillaise, filled with the most delicious crème patissiere and Valrhona chocolate chips. Ohlala!
If you’re heading to the market in time for lunch, then you should try our special Fougasse, In France if you’re not in the mood for breakfast and it’s still too early for lunch we go for a Fougasse, a delightful soft bread stuffed with savoury ingredients such as cheese, veal bacon and my personal favourite; spinach and feta cheese. Miaaaaaaam!
Being at Ripe Market every week transports us back to Europe, from picking organic and locally sourced fruit and vegetables at the Ripe stand to sampling fresh honey. For tea lovers, you can stock up on the perfect breakfast tea from UK brand, Teapigs, our favourite is the chocolate tea (of course).
Our neighbours at the market are the lovely Wild & The Moon who always let us sample their latest organic juices. The ingredients are carefully put together to complement one another to provide maximum results. These juices are designed to fit into your lifestyle, so not only are they nutritional but they also taste really good!
Our favourite is the Black Charcoal Lemonade with activated charcoal, lemon, vinegar and dates. It’s a refreshing detox juice which cleans out the system, leaving you feeling more energized. George from Wild & Moon summarises Black Charcoal Lemonade in three words; organic, addictive (in a healthy way of course) and innovative. Cheeeeers!
The beautiful Feiruza Mudessir is a fashion designer from Ethiopia. Her colourful collection will make you feel like its summer all year round. We love the tulle skirt which can be worn with high heels for a special occasion or for a more laid back, daily look, team up with your favourite pair of trainers.
Visit us every Friday for a fresh French breakfast at Zabeel Park from 9am – 3pm until April.
