Need to speak to us? Call La Serre

On the 31st December, La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie was transformed into a wondrous enchanted garden with huge hand painted flowers blooming across the glass facade. Upon arrival, guests walked through a stunning salix arch decorated with fresh ivy and wild wisteria, while glass baubles with tea lights dangled from above.

The La Serre beauties resembled stunning angelic creatures you would find in a magical garden with graphic eyeliner and bold lips, wearing elegant flowing gowns and floral crowns.

Along with our ‘flower models’, in the middle of the main dining area stood the enchanted tree with a sign emblazoned ‘You must pick from the tree’, encouraging guests to help themselves to hand decorated apple and key shaped cookies.

Guests were treated to a very special dish, a personal favourite from Chef Izu and one he usually only shares when entertaining guests at home, it is a classic Nigerian dish called Akara, served with fried plantain alongside many other special dishes such as oysters, foie gras, plateau de fruits de mer and lobster.

We have uploaded all pictures from New Year’s Eve on our facebook page for you to see our enchanted garden in all its glory, however, no picture or video can quite compare to the magical ambience that was created in the main dining room that night and only those who entered will be able to share the rest of the secrets they discovered during New Year’s Eve, as we promised our guests that night, our lips are sealed. However, we have put together a compilation of some of the highlights we can share.
