During the holy month of Ramadan, we have converted our beloved Boulangerie into an art installation known internally as “The House”. As this time of the year is one for contemplation and reflection, we felt that opening up the venue to some bespoke, hand-drawn artwork created especially for the Boulangerie would allow us to mark Ramadan in a unique way for all of our guests.
This is the perfect way for us to celebrate the distinctive and welcoming atmosphere that has marked the restaurant out as a hub for creative dining in Dubai. The installation will act as an organic fusion with the surroundings in a way that does not draw attention from, but rather complements the experience of our elegant surroundings and fresh Mediterranean cooking. Watch a behind the scene video of “The House” to see the installation take shape.
This is not the first time that we have acted as a transient gallery and showcase for beautiful art. Successful previous events have included displays from a variety of artists, which have always proved popular with our guests. This continuing commitment to delicious food and artistic events marks us out as a cultural hub for Downtown Dubai. Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to hear the latest about the goings on at the venue, and look out for hashtag #thehouselaserre.
As the restaurant is open throughout Ramadan, we created our very first Ramadan menu to mark the occasion. We will be open as normal during the month for both breakfasts and lunches. The Bistro shall be serving food from 12pm to 3pm and from 7pm until 11pm. The Boulangerie will be opening its doors between the hours of 7am and 10.30pm.
We believe that there is much more to going out for a meal than just the ingredients, as fresh and delicious as they may be. By transforming the walls of the bistro into a canvas for artists, we are able to convey the importance of the act of sitting with our loved ones for dinner and giving thanks for the food that we eat.
