As the summer finally comes to an end, it’s time to embrace the great outdoors again. Dubai must be the only place in the world where residents are counting down the days until winter! İt’s also a city which rarely sleeps, there is always something to do from morning to midnight.
Dubai is a pretty special place, an inspirational destination where dreams are turned into reality, which is why we love our little corner of the world.
We have put together a list of places to visit and things to do this winter:
The Green Planet Dubai
With over 3000 plant species and exotic birds, Green Planet is an indoor rain forest located in City Walk Dubai. Birds roam freely inside this specially created environment. The Green Planet holds a record with their “largest indoor, man-made and life-sustaining tree in the world”. This tree is artificial but surrounded with real plants. So, we will not be able to see the difference between artificial parts and real ones in a couple of years (at least that is the plan). Humidity and temperature are adjusted to rein-act the environment that of a rain forest. This green bio-dome also has educative events for kids. For more information visit the website.
Dubai Parks and Resorts
Another great welcoming for winter is from Dubai Parks and Resorts with a thrilling new opening. It is the perfect time to visit the world’s largest theme park. Motiongate, Bollywood, and Legoland Waterpark are expected to be the most popular ones. Also Riverland Dubai is going to open it’s doors for the first time for visitors soon. You can enjoy 4 different themed zones. A walk in 50’s America on the Boardwalk or medieval French era in The French Village. For location and more information visit the website.
